BeardMusic

GOOD MORNING on his fantastic November night. Based on the happenings of the past few days, we're gonna go off on a few things tonight.

1. Fantastic C's Game: beat Bucks at Home 105-102 in overtime, P-Squared became the 37th player in NBA history to reach 20,000 points, and I was generally pumped.

2. N.E.R.D released their 4th studio album: Nothing. I copped it at Best Buy for a grand total of $0.00. Thank you gift cards. After a few listens, I've concluded it can be described as a genre of music called: Woodstock Hip-Hop. Here's the beard related album-cover.

As you can see, Pharrell is rocking a wayward stache' & stubble combo. Glad to see Skateboard P in the Novembeard spirit.

But, finally, the topic of BeardMusic. Obviously, facial hair cannot change your musical tastes, but I think I speak for everybody when I say some music is better with a beard. I've come to the conclusion that, out of all the music on my ipod, the most beard-tastic album is "Unbound" by Nate Wilson Group. Their myspace brands them as "total mustache rock," so it seems the band agrees.
If you want to download or listen to the album, go to their homepage.

What about you? What are your favorite BeardMusic cuts? What gets the scuff-a-tingling?

p.s. (my face is indeed delivering on increased scruff, but I'll save the progress shot for his weekend.)

And So, It Begins

AH YES welcome. I'm so happy you've stumbled upon BeardBlog: One man's Boston Facial Hair Marathon in thought.

It is November 1st: the first full day of facial hair growth. Last night, at around 10 PM, I used a Gillette Fusion Pro-glide straight razor, and Gillete HydraGel shaving cream to make my face baby soft. My face was, as I've come to the conclusion, as soft as a lamb's ear.

I have to say I'm kind of used to having a more unruly face by the end of the day. A slight bristle has shown up 24 hours later, but nothing impressive. This has only strengthened my resolve. By the end of this, the November of 2010, I will have gone farther into the realm of my facial hair capabilities than ever before. It's going to be itchy, I'm going to be mobbed by hoes who love lumberjacks, but prevail I shall.

To all of you who are participating fully in NSN, good luck.
